Len Dawson (04/28/13)

Len Dawson, Super Bowl IV MVP
1987 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductee
Len Dawson played for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1963 to 1975. He is the MVP of Super Bowl IV and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987. I met Len Dawson at a GT Sports Marketing event in Somerset, NJ. He was signing autographs at the Garden State Exhibit Center.

Len is a very friendly and funny man, who took some time to speak with me. A fun fact about him is that his favorite sport was baseball, not football. He told me when he played baseball in high school and he was a second baseman.

I had a great time talking with Len and he even posed for a picture with me. He wanted the photo to look like he was handing off the ball to me, which I thought was pretty cool. I was worried about the autograph not being dry enough, but we both were able to avoid touching it.

Len Dawson Signing Autographs

Len signed my Super IV Football and added two inscriptions: SB IV MVP and HOF 87. His autograph was important for me to add to my Super Bowl MVP autograph football collection.

This was the second time I attended a GTSM signing event and everything went smoothly. Another fun experience for me and I can't wait for the next event.
